On- Premises licenses are for businesses that serve alcohol to patrons on site that will consumed on-site.  Examples of on-premises licenses are restaurants, taverns, club, special events, etc.

Off-Premises licenses are only for 3 specific license types: liquor stores, convenience stores and grocery stores.  These businesses sell alcohol to patrons who will consume the alcohol off of the liquor premises.

Yes, in order to sign up for a class, you must have a verified account with the ABT website - this is a new feature with our new website

Yes, you can change the date of your class within your own account by selecting the class you are currently signed up for and click the "Change Date" button.  This button is only availalbe for 24 hours after your current scheduled class.  As long as you change the class within 24 hours, you will not be charged for another class.

No.  Each person has to create their own account on the website so they can access their records later.  

Yes.  If requested, ABT will create an account for businesses to have access to training records, certificates and invoices within their ABT account.

Yes. This course is approved by the Liquor Enforcement Division and meets all of the qualifications for being a responsible vendor.

Yes. This course provides certification to conduct tastings at a retail liquor store, convenience store and a liquor-licensed drugstore.  You must either take the off-premises test or on and off-premises test to be certified for retail tastings.

You will receive your certificate as soon as you complete the course and pass the test. It will available in your account for future reference and will also be sent to your email.

The course takes anywhere between 2 hours and 30 minutes and 2 hours and 45 minutes, and up to 3 hours in rare cases. Live-streaming classes are $35 per person; in-person rates vary by location and class size.

Your certification is valid for 2 years.
